The guidelines are in place to protect our tutees as well as to protect the integrity of our tutoring service. With that said, the guidelines are part of our Terms of Use agreement (visit our website to view).
Please review the guidelines listed below before checking the box.
1. Adult Supervision: A trusted responsible adult is visible or at the home during tutoring sessions.
2. Location:Tutoring should take place in an open area that is suitable for in-home or online tutoring.
3. Payment: If requested, the standard assessment fee per child is due the day of the consultation session. No payment is due for a baseline assessment. You will need to pre-pay for all tutorial sessions via our company's website or mail in your payment in advance, unless other arrangements were made with management. Note:Tutors are not responsible for collecting payments or negotiating prices.
4. Payment: Your payment must reach the office in a timely manner to avoid late fees and/or interruption of service, unless other arrangements were made with management. If no payment prior to the month or week of service, your assigned tutors will be notified to temporarily suspend tutoring until notified by management to resume service. Returned check fee will be charged to the account for $10.00 dollars per occurrence and we reserve the right to request another form of payment if this becomes an issue over a period of time.
5. Purchase: We encourage the responsible adult person to purchase enough sessions to cover a sufficient amount of tutoring time monthly to show a measurable difference in grades and/or test scores, as well as study habits. Initial payment is due in full upon enrolling yourself, a child or children for tutorial services. Thereafter, payment is due by the 3rd of the month in full for the month of service or sooner to prevent an interruption in service and/or late fees.
6. Rescheduling Policy: We ask that tutors are given sufficient amount of notice for cancellation or rescheduling. If this is not possible, please contact tutors as soon as possible to avoid being charged for no show sessions or call the office. If delayed or cannot reach assigned tutors, the tutors were asked to wait 15 minutes before leaving the tutoring locations or online sessions.
7. Parent-Tutor Conferences: The tutors will spend some time speaking with the parents or guardians regarding progress if time permits.
8.Tutor Concerns: Please contact the office immediately via email and/or phone once you are no longer in need of tutoring services from an assigned tutor. We will attempt to refer another tutor when feasible within a timely manner.
9. Brainiac Guarantees: The tutors that are referred will be pre-screened and qualified to tutor in a variety of subjects. However, due to a myriad of factors not under our control, Brainiac cannot guarantee improved grades and/or test scores, although typically, there is a significant measurable improvement if tutoring occurs more than one month for at least two to four sessions weekly. Overall, every attempt will be made to help improve academic performance.
I agree to the guidelines listed above. I understand that in-home tutoring services are pre-paid, and I agree to pay Brainiac In-Home Tutoring as stated in the guidelines.
